Bridge pool
Bridge pool will be open from March 2009 to day tickets and match bookings. The pool has been stocked with Carp, Tench, Chubb, Bream and roach. There is a separate car park for this pool which is located next to the pool for easy access to any of the 31 pegs. The pegs have been constructed with a concrete hard base big enough to get the majority of anglers equipment on the peg. The pool has been shaped like a canal with a distance of 12.5 meters to the far side, there is an inside ledge of 3 foot which is mirrored on the far shelf, down the middle there is 6ft of water. Reeds, rush's and lilies have been planted on both sides of the pool which will give features to fish to. The hot pegs will be either side of the bridge, hence the name.

Becketts Pool (Match Pool)
Current Match Record: 103lb
Since March 07 the new pool to the fishery has generated a lot interest by pleasure and match men. It is roughly 2 acres in size and is the shape of a guitar with a large base with 2 islands in the base and centre, then a long straight piece with a reed bed running down the middle of it. The average depth is around 6ft off the ledges and the deepest area is around 12ft. The pool has two inside ledges which will make it ideal for margin fishing. It has 32 well spaced pegs that are easily accessible from the new car park with the remainder being only a short walk away.
The new pool has been stocked mainly with mirrors, commons, tench and crucians up to 3lb, an informal match held on at the beginning of December 2006 saw 14 anglers catch a total of more than 450lbs of fish between them in five hours. Current record is 103lb in 5 hours, average weights are around 45lb to frame.
It is a pole fisherman’s dream as there are no snags in any of the pegs, and all have inside reeds or lilies which the fish love to congregate around. Generally you only need to fish between 4 – 6 meters out just off the ledge, favorite baits are pellet, corn and casters. Recommendations for set up are size 6-8 elastic, 1.5lb line and 18hook size is general set up.
The pegs have been designed to cater for all requirements from flat concrete base, with imprints on them to give grip in the wet. 2 x keepnet pole holders (match’s only) all pegs have an umbrella pole holder.
For anglers who like to fish the feeder / waggler the islands are around 35 – 30 meters away, either spraying maggots or casters up in the water to tight dropping a light feeder or lead tight to the reeds on the island can produce results.
Two famous fishermen visited and bagged up, can you guess who they are?
Top Pool (Match Pool)
Current Match Record: 126lb
Caters for 28 anglers. It is stocked mainly with Carp, Chub, Tench, Rudd and Roach. Productive baits are pellets, paste, maggot, worm, caster and corn, on Pole or Waggler. There is a good head of carp around 3-5 pounds, and the odd larger fish thrown in. It is predominantly carp that most anglers fish for, but if you want a good days sport with the Rudd to half a pound, or Roach to a pound, best try casters or maggots up in the water.
Depths vary between 3ft to 9ft. Hundred pound bags of fish are common in the summer months, and carp fish can be caught under your feet later on in the day. In the winter time 50 pound plus is required to win a match. It would be worth while trying a small bomb in the deeper water. This pool is ideal for pole anglers, as the main island can be reached between 11 – 13 meters. The Island runs ¾ length of pool, with the bottom few pegs having open water.

Middle Pool
Caters for 12 anglers, this mature natural pool. It is stocked mainly with Roach, Rudd, Perch, Tench and the odd big Carp. Some of the Roach are up to a pound, and the skimmers are nearly 2lb.The rumours of a couple of grass carp in the lake where squashed as pictured below. Favourite baits are maggot, pellet, caster or corn on the Pole or waggler, depths vary from 1.5 ft to 6 ft. There are plenty of reed beds / lillies and inside features to fish to. This pool also benefits from having an Island where the majority of the large carp tend to reside "in the reeds". It is an ideal lake for beginners as it is mainly silver fish that are targeted, light lines and small hooks are required for constant sport.
Bottom Pool
This is another nature pool that caters for 10 anglers. This is mainly stocked with Roach, Rudd, Perch, Tench, and small crucian carp. Some perch are around the 2lb mark! Best baits are maggot, pellet, caster or corn. Depths vary from 1.5 ft to 8 ft. Both middle and bottom pools are ideal for both the new and experienced anglers.
